I didn't plan on real estate. But I was always meant for it.
I came from retail, where I spent years doing what I loved most: helping people. A client I was working with noticed something in me before I fully believed it myself. She encouraged me to finish my real estate course, and then she hired me. That was the beginning. Now, years later, I am licensed in both Canada and Jamaica, I hold my SRES designation for seniors, and I work every day with families navigating some of the biggest transitions of their lives.
One client has always stayed with me. She was an older woman, a senior, who after COVID retreated from the world. The isolation had taken a toll and she had fallen behind on everything. I showed up, day after day. We decluttered together. We cleared things out. I kept her calm when it felt like too much. She trusted me in her space, in her process, in her story. When we finally got her sold and settled into a place where she could breathe again and be social again, I knew this was exactly the work I was supposed to be doing. Not just selling homes. Helping people find their way through.
